Zimmermann

Zimmermann is a trendy Australian label. It happens to be the label of this dress. They are known for their fancy bathing suits too. I can’t get myself to spend hundreds of dollars on a bathing suit. I like the idea, but I just can’t. So I found this dress second hand when I lived in Australia. It’s a little small and very white, but I wore it to a few parties and it obviously looks better when I’m tan. It took me a while to get to know the reputable Australian designers. a few are Ginger & Smart, Gorman, Alice McCall, Sass & Bide and Jayson Brunston (who I interned for, for a day or 2...it just felt like an unpaid job). aussie fashion can be great, but I think it’s usually overpriced. When I lived there, they were just getting some American brands like Gap. they love our brands! And it’s generally cheaper for them, too. So interesting. There was a good amount of thrifting there, but it was also mixed. I never saw Australia as a great place for fashion. I’ve been thinking about Australia a lot lately. How they’ve been able to get back to normal life and we haven’t. I wonder what it would have been like if I still lived there. I miss it. But life goes on. Hopefully I can get back there sooner rather than later. I have my Aussie passport all ready to go!
