Trina Turk

Today‘s dress is Trina Turk. I found it second hand and I like the shade of pink. Trina Turk is an LA based designer and is also prominent in Palm Springs. I’ll be in LA next Saturday. I planned it a while back and I’ll be in Big Sur most of the time, at a wellness retreat. Once I went on a retreat with my mother in the mountains of Utah. I was fresh off one of my breakups and read most of Eat, Pray, Love. This will probably be different. I’m also not fresh off a breakup, but my heart still feels sore from all the events that took place this year. today is my grandma‘s yarzheit (anniversary of her passing) so my family has been lighting candles wherever we are. Caroline, David and I lit ours in Hull. Caroline and I spent a few hours looking through many old photos that had been in the mill. There were birth certificates, my grandma as a child, my great grandparents, a few letters and many school reports. I wonder when people typically get rid of things like school reports, if ever. My dad and his brother had a lot of trouble reading and were sent to many specialists and tutors. today is another family filled day. I’ll go see my grandpa’s side of the family who I don’t usually visit. I’ll report back tomorrow. yesterday my cousin Caroline introduced me to a show called Girls 5eva on the peacock network. It‘s a Tina Fey show and was really well written. I recommend it. I always imagine being in a writers room for a show like that. Would be stressful but fun.
