Rough Silk

I’ve always liked rough silk, but it doesn’t seem to like me! It’s not a very forgiving material. I’ve tried to wear this vintage set a few times and it’s just not quite right. The jacket is a little big and the dress is a little snug. I’d like to sell it and make room for things that actually fit me! I bought it in Sydney, near where I lived in Newtown. It was such a great area. There were lots of great cafes and shops. I moved in with Lea, who was and is one of the greatest friends I’ve ever had. She was a delightful roommate. And her family invited me to every single event they had. I couldn’t have been more lucky. But the neighborhood really was something special. Imagine the coolest place ever and then you get to live there. I didn’t think I’d be as happy ever again. But now I am here in Astoria also! Coldplay filmed their music video for ”A sky full of stars” in Newtown and it’s so awesome to see my favorite stores as Chris Martin marches on by. I had already moved by then (2014), but you know I would have been there otherwise.
