Rosh Hashana

I’m sitting here in Budapest eating a poke bowl and sitting on a swinging bench. I can’t really complain!

today‘s dress is what I call the book dress. It’s made by mod cloth. I worked there in San Francisco when they opened a pop up shop there. It was an odd place to work. It was retail but it was different. People could try on the clothes but then they had to order them online anyway. This annoyed many tourists who just wanted to take the item with them. there was a small vintage section, but I wasn’t allowed to buy anything from there, even at full price, because it took away from the inventory. I was bored and frustrated so I stole a few things from the back room. I’m not proud of it and I’m grateful to not have done it for quite a long time.

I‘ve always loved the book dress. The pattern is wonderful. It also inspired me to work with patterns in my own business. I felt people gravitated towards them. may everyone be inscribed in the book of life during these high holy days. love from Budapest.
