Happy august! This is 5 months since I started this blog. That’s almost 150 dresses! I can’t remember where exactly I got this dress, but it was in SF. It is vintage though. It was originally very long on me, but I cut it and hemmed it, and used the extra material to make a pillow case.
yesterday was fun! I went to rye (westchester) to visit my old friend Beth, who is visiting from Austin and staying with her parents. I met Beth in 2004, when I turned 21. Her twin sister Natalie was in a photography course with me at NYU. I had decided to take classes in NYC so I could intern for Time Out NY and Gawker, but still graduate on time. the course was cool, and I made some really great friends. All summer, us girls were living our best Sex and The City Lifestyle. After that, we all studied abroad. Me in Paris, Beth in Florence and natalie in Madrid. We all visited each other and traveled to Granada, Spain, as well as Berlin. It was so much fun. the Twins also came to visit me in Sydney in 2008 and were with me when my grandma died and I flew back to the states. Over the years, they both got married and had kids and our lives drifted apart a bit. So seeing Beth again today was so meaningful. her parents took us out to dinner with the kids. We swam in the pool. I chatted with her parents. It was wonderful. And all possible because of my beloved car! More adventures await in the berkshires today!
