Post wedding day!

Today’s dress is Cynthia Rowley, second hand of course. I’ve always liked her designs. I thought this pretty blue dress would make for a good outfit change at the wedding. I know they’re unconventional, but with so many dresses, I figured I needed more than one for the 10 hour event!

yesterday’s dress also revolves around a wedding. My mother bought it to wear to my cousin’s wedding years ago. I loved it and asked her if she’d give it to me. She agreed to share it with me. We swapped it back and forth for years, but I’ve had it for a while now. that’s pretty much the whole story. Gabe’s wedding was wonderful. It was moving to hear all the tributes from their friends and so many people who love them. I really hadn’t met most of those people before. Rachel’s family is from Dallas, by way of Canada and South Africa. Her parents and other relatives traveled to be there. The band was great and gabe and Rachel danced into the ceremony to a South African tune called Pata Pata! My mother rapped to a Biggie song! It was amazing. People were going crazy. I have a video of it.

it was such a fun weekend, that I’ll remember forever. I don’t like to post this late in the day, so I want to explain. today was a little tense because I went against everyone’s advice not to park on the wet grass at my parents Airbnb. I can’t really explain it except to say I was tired from last night, and being stubborn and lazy about walking across the path from the driveway to the house. I didn’t realize how wet the ground was. I’m a city girl after all. I quickly realized the car was stuck and I had to get a tow truck. I have AAA but I was so flustered I didn’t even register to call them. Lesson learned. But it didn’t take away from the joy of the weekend! thanks for reading and sorry for the delay today.
