Made by me!

happy public holiday Monday! Today’s dress is made by me! I started sewing early on in the pandemic and realized I could make these ”shift” dresses without too much complication. Making a dress had overwhelmed me for years, but with a lot of time on my hands, I gave it a try. I made about 10 of these, with all different patterns. some have different front and backs and others don’t. This one felt perfect for the 4th of July, yesterday. I was in the Catskills region, working on a summer project called The Oyven. It went really well! I’ll write more about it in another post, but the vibe yesterday was really special. we made pitas in our portable oven, listened to a great band and had lots of good conversation. I got a lot of compliments on my dress and maybe a custom order! I still make masks on request also. It’s fun to say I’m a designer and be wearing the proof! It was a good reminder of how far I’ve come and to keep going. I hope your 4th was a nice as mine!
