Blue has always been a favorite color. My eyes are blue and people comment on them quite a bit. Once I was in a taxi and the driver told me I had “romantic eyes.” Anyway! I have never worn this dress. I like the drapery effect it has. I’ve been asked how vintage fits me so well. I think it’s because of my relatively small waist (28 inches). A lot of vintage is small in the waist. Sometimes I can just eyeball something and guess that it will fit. I don’t do that with more expensive pieces though. I have managed to not buy any new pieces since February 12, 2021 and I’m proud of myself. I tend to shop more when I’m depressed and anxious so I hope I’m turning a corner. A few events in my life have made me see that hoarding is easy to do and I don’t want that. I think it’s great to be surrounded by things that bring me joy. But it’s not healthy to think that everything I own can bring me joy. Some dresses don’t fit well and I’m wondering how to best model them for this blog. Perhaps I won’t show back shots of those looks! I paired this dress with a pair of Melissa Shoes that are really cute and perfect for spring. Unicorns!
