Green velvet

Today’s dress is a pretty green velvet that I found at a vintage store in Paris. It certainly feels more autumn/winter to me, although it has short sleeves! it‘s a little strange posting cooler weather clothes while I’m in Florida, but I had to take some pictures in advance so I’d have enough for each day I’m away. I’m now halfway through my trip. Today Diana and I are driving to tampa and st Pete to see some friends and the sights. I’ll report back tomorrow. Last night we went to Diana’s moms house (where D lives) to pick up some more of her stuff for the week. as we were leaving, her moms dog ran out into the street and nearly got run over by what looked to me like a golf cart. Instead an older man fell out onto the pavement. He was with other people and said he was ok, but it was pretty scary. That dog seems to cause trouble a lot. Once he grabbed my dirty underwear from the ground and ran around the house with it and wouldn’t let it go. He’s not my favorite. If a dog ran in front of my car I’d be totally freaked out. And it was pitch black on the street. He shouldn’t have been let out. We were both shaken up after that.

The other week I was supposed to go on a date with someone who has a dog. I’m not a dog person and I immediately was reluctant to meet this guy. But in the end, he flaked on me which is totally OK. I don’t feel ready to date yet. I’m going to enjoy some more time to myself, with my dresses. Dating feels like work to me now and that’s not a good mindset to go in with. i hope you enjoy an accident free Wednesday! Hopefully I’ll end the day with some mead.
