Happy Thursday! Today’s Daily Dress is actually the last dress I purchased, exactly a month ago. I was working as an extra on the TV series “Younger.” It was a very cold day here in NYC and we were waiting around for Covid tests so I took a little break and went around the corner to Beacon’s Closet on 13th street. I saw this vintage dress with open shoulders and it reminded me of my 2016 trip to Thailand, where I got to spend time with elephants. They’re such special animals and I think they bring good luck, even on a piece of clothing. My sister remarked how this would be a good dress to receive the Covid vaccine in, because the shoulders are exposed! I’m glad this was the last dress I bought because I’ve made a commitment to myself to not buy any more clothing until I post everything I have on this site. I’ve been working on my spiritual practice and I’m trying to accumulate less material items as well as have less attachment to the things I already own. Nothing is ours forever. We only have the present.
I paired the elephant dress with a new pair of Melissa bright green shoes that were on sale for $20! And my Louis Vuitton bag that I purchased second hand while on vacation in Osaka, in May 2019. That was such an amazing trip. I love Japan. The LV handbag was about $220 USD, which I think was a pretty great bargain. It’s a good size and I feel kind of fancy when I have it with me. I appreciate how an accessory can make you feel a certain way. There’s nothing new on my product page today, but check back tomorrow! Thanks for reading.
