I interned for Cynthia Rowley when I was just 15 years old! I found a side job through a Laguardia High School alumn who was dating a woman who worked in public relations for CR. when the job with him didn’t work out, he asked his girlfriend if I could work there instead. It wasn’t paid, but I loved it. I got to help with the organization of what ended up being my first ever fashion show. I still have the program and Kelly Martin signed it! I got to deliver her clothes for the fashion show. It was so much fun to feel the energy in that space, with the celebrities, editors, glitz and glamor. I have always loved CR and always get excited when I see something of hers in a second hand shop, when I know I can afford it! Her pieces are just so timeless. I found this lime green rough silk dress at a goodwill. I’ve worn it out a few times. I feel like it’s more of a “cute” dress that highlights my petite figure. it looks better with heels, but I don’t usually wear heels out since I’m almost always taking the train! I’m happy to show off this dress today.
