City Girl

I’m from NYC—the Upper West Side of Manhattan to be exact. I went to the “Fame” High School, where I studied vocal music. Growing up, living in an apartment building with a doorman seemed normal. I was lucky that we had quite a large apartment for the 5 of us. But still, I learned to drive really late and missed out on various suburban activities. Many people only know NYC through TV and movies. It’s cool that I know it through my life experiences. I live in Queens now and it’s funny that I used to be such a Manhattan snob. I love my neighborhood here and can’t imagine living anywhere else now. I’d still like more space someday but, you know, just down the street.

Today’s Daily Dress is a tribute to city life. The dress is vintage with no label but I love the fabric and the pattern of houses. There are houses in NYC! The taxi shoes are Kate Spade (RIP) and always a shoe, I mean, showstopper! I will be wearing them a lot this spring. The chicken purse is from Amazon and costs under $40. It’s a functional purse but mostly it just makes me smile. Nothing for sale today, but I’ll have a few things up this week.
