This dress is by Brooklyn Industries and I found it at a Goodwill, in downtown Brooklyn. The belt is by Vineyard Vines and I believe I paid full price for it (gasp). It has little lobsters on it. yesterday I went to Brooklyn to meet my new niece, Margot. It was so amazing to hold her, watch her have her first bath and and have her fall asleep on me. My sister had a home birth and it sounded ideal to me. Now she just gets to be at home! I have so much to look forward to with little Margot.
later on, my dad and I met up and he wanted to get sushi. I was driving so I gave him a ride and we went to Katsuei, where my ex Tim took me for very indulgent omakase. But the restaurant does regular menu items also. I wondered if the hostess remembered me from the 3 or so times I’d been there. I don’t think about Tim all that often, and sometimes I wonder whether or not he is still with the friend of mine who I set him up with. I imagine he is, but I don’t know for sure. But it’s none of my business anyways. the relationship taught me a lot and for that I’m grateful. This weekend I’m going to southern New Jersey for jewish Valentine’s Day!
