Yesterday I spent all day at the beach and got a little burned (again). I keep falling asleep and forgetting to reapply sunblock. My friend Marc has been staying in Miami a lot and he invited me to the beach by his place. It’s a little morbid, but I like telling people that we met at Auschwitz. what an unusual place to meet! We were there in June 2019 for the Ride for the Living, a 63 mile bike ride from Auschwitz to Krakow. It was a really significant experience for me. I did the ride with my dad. I really should have prepared for it, but I was able to complete it and only got lost once. I guess this post didn’t end up being about the beach, but this dress feels beachy to me. It’s by Nanette Lepore and I found it at a sample sale in NYC. I like how it ties a few different ways. I hope I get to wear it out sometime soon. What’s funny about doing this blog is that I wonder which dresses people will remember and if I’ll feel like I want to keep wearing them. I also wear a dress these days and don’t want to post pics because I want to save it for the blog. Not a bad problem to have, but there you go.
